This year’s Iniscealtra Community Shield was again a big success, and €675 was raised for Ennis and Clare Samaritans. In the end seven teams competed in a fast and furious competition, and a high standard of play was in evidence throughout. New champions were crowned – find out more below…

In a repeat of the 2008 final of the Iniscealtra Community Shield, Absolute FC met inaugural champions Jakko’s Bar in one of the tournament’s 2009 semi-finals. The venue is the Scariff GAA all-weather pitch on Saturday 29 May 2010.
There will be two groups of four teams. Each team will play the other teams in their group in a league. Standard points allocation applies. The top two teams from each group will progress to the knock out stages (semi finals, final).

The inaugural Iniscealtra Community Shield, a 5-a-side soccer tournament, took place in Scariff on Saturday 31st May as part of the2008 Iniscealtra Festival of Arts, whose theme this year was Community.
